Promoting the interests of patients

We’re a local support group that represents the public, and more specifically, the patients of Health & Wellbeing services in St Albans and the surrounding area.

We work closely with the NHS, but we are an independent group. The area that we specifically cover includes Bricket Wood, Park Street, London Colney, Redbourn, Sandridge & Wheathamstead.

We alert people to local and national issues relating to the health and wellbeing of the community – for example, the future of St Albans City Hospital, and the impact and plans to mitigate and protect residents from COVID-19.

We are funded by Health Watch Hertfordshire, an organisation that investigates health and social care issues on patients’ behalf. At the moment, it is surveying our experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic and of the medical needs military veterans. Ask how to take part by e-mailing info@healthwatchhertfordhire.co.uk. HWH provides financial support to SAPG also.
